Decided!

Thank you all for your imput regarding my decision on whether or not to rent a doppler. After a lot of thinking I have decided to rent one. I went with this one. I decided to get one that digitally reads the heart rate so I wont have to count and figure it out myself. It should be here by the end of this week. Of course I am anxious that I wont be able to find the h/b but if that happens you better believe I am demanding that my doctor see me to check on things. All in all I feel good about my decision and I hope it will relieve some of my anxiety. If any of you have tips on how to find the h/b I'm all ears.

I have also decided that this Wednesday, when I hit 11 weeks I am going to take my first belly shot. I'm not sure if it will be bare belly or not but you have to promise not to laugh at my pudge!

Lastly, I'm calling all lurkers to de-lurk! I know you are reading! Tell me about yourself, where you are from, how you found my blog, and whether you are an IF and if so what stage in the game are you?? Perty please?

I'm de-lurking! I'm in my 10th month TTC and 13th cycle (short cycles). I don't remember how I found your blog but I've been reading it for about 4 months! Good luck with everything.

De-lurking. I actually have no idea how I came across your blog. I think it was more of a link from a link from a link from another blog I read. That's how I find most of the blogs I read. And no I'm not an IF, hence why I don't comment much. =-)

I haven't commented in awhile but I'm still reading. Congratulations! I am so excited that things are going well for you. I live in Maryland and I'm on my second cycle of IVF/PGD. Wishing you the best.

I am de-lurking!! I am a fellow IF gal. I found you through a friend of a friend's blog right before your ER. Dh and I have been ttc for close to 2 1/2 years. Me- 28, endometriosis, Dh- 28,perfectly wonderful. The failed treatment cycles include 3 clomids (2 with iui) and 2 injectables (both with iui) I have one more iui with injectables cycle. Then the difficult decision adoption or ivf. We are leaning more towards adoption, but are seriously considering embryo donation/adoption.
Congratulations to you and your husband. I love reading up on your life and your journey. It is so wonderful to connect with others who struggle with all of this.

Great News about the doppler, you sound really happy about it. I delurked awhile ago during start of NaLeavCoMo. I found you while researching information on PCOS for my niece. IF has touched my life preconception (my mom lost a tube/ovary as a teen due to ruptured appendix). I had a miscarriage 17 years ago. I would not be lucky enough to have my DH and our two boys unless his mom had miscarried twice before his conception. I've also been in the mommy/baby/kid business as RN for 26 years. I think you're going to be a great mom (already are) and appreciate you sharing your journey. You are a hero. (I finally started a blog which is accessible through my profile) Thank you, Morissa.

Since you asked...I found your blog on the NCLM list. I think I have commented here before, but am making it back to the top of the list before this whole NCLM comes to a close. I, unfortunately, am an IF. We're starting IVF (if you count the BCP stage, we've already started) and I'm quite scared about it! :)

Good luck w/ the doppler, I hope you don't have any scary moments using it!

I'm glad that you found a doppler to use, you'll have to let us know how it goes! Almost 11 weeks, congrats that is quite a milestone :-) I can't wait to see your belly shot and no, you do not have pudge silly girl. You are a beautiful pregnant woman!

I have been lurking for months - I found your website when I was researching IVF prior to our first cycle, which was at the end of May. We have male factor and I got a BFP but had an early miscarriage prior to five weeks. We are going to try again in an August-September cycle.

I am really happy for you and your DH, thanks for putting yourself out there.

Sorry for not having commenting. I've been trying to fix the mess inside my head and heart before leaping out in the commenting world again. I'm so glad that things are still going well for you guys. It must be very exciting, as well as nerve wrecking, no? :)

Glad you got the doppler. In the beginning I would find the heartbeat best if I layed back on the sofa, had a full bladder or stomach (that part was never too hard for me), used tons of the nasty lube, pressed hard and moved it slowly at a bit of an angle. Also, as bloated as I was, my uterus was still fairly small. Start out looking for it about a finger length down from your belly button and then just go to the left or right from there.

Took me awhile the first few times (10 min +). I'd catch my heart beat occasionally and it would go up and up the longer it took me to find the baby's ;)

I got the digital kind too so I wouldn't have to count, I was really surprised by how big the range could be but my OB said that was normal and not to worry about it. I wish I had gotten the recordable one though. Have fun with it and good luck!

Hi, My name is Amy and I am from the St. Louis area. I am not IF but my husband and I are also not one of those couples that can just get pg if they "feel" like it. We really have to try, I mean I practically have to put together a powerpoint presentation on my cycles with charts and notes. We do have 2 beautiful little boys and have been trying for our third and final child for the last 6 months. I am a bad blogger, I like to read them but not good at writing them.

I am very happy for you and hope you have a great pregnancy and a healthy beautiful baby.

Here from NCLM. I also have PCOS, diagnosed at 20 (am now 33), so always knew I'd never get pregnant easily. So far we've been tryin gfor 2.5 years, and my very first pregnancy ever (on Clomid) ended in miscarriage. I am at the really quite furious stage of IF!

Good luck with the doppler! I had no idea they'd work so early!

I have one with a wand and in the early weeks you had to really wedge that sucker down under your pubic bone to hear much. Lots of fun. Also, I freaked out after I had been using it pretty much 18 hours per day from week 6 on when a nurse told me too much ultrasound exposure hasn't been tested to be proven safe for a baby. Well, I'm here to say it HAS now been tested on ONE baby and mine is absolutely perfect, thank you very much. Congrats!

I am a lurker!! I have been reading your site for months, but I don't remember how I found it. I think it was a link on another site. I have you listed on my site as a blog I read. I have PCOS and endometreosis, been ttc for 16 months. Currently doing injectables w/iui's. BFP in early June, misscarried this week! Sucks, but I still have hope. I am so excited for you and glad you are doing well.

Hi, just a very slack commenter here. Good luck with your new toy, but if it starts to stress you out it must go! Bare belly shots please, and I can't believe that you think we would laugh ;-P

I'm so glad you and Doozer are doing well. Take care.

Also de-lurking.. LOL.. I followed your story after reading Erin's blog. Erin and I have been thread buddies on 2ww.com for 2 years. DH and I are TTC#2 for 28 cycles now. On our last month of Clomid, and then we will be having a LAP done. I see another good friend of mine, Annie has also delurked. :) I just love reading your blog. x
